The Lebanese manager at the center of the Marwako assault case Jihad Chabaan has been remanded to police custody by a magistrate court.
The manager pleaded not guilty to three charges of assault, causing harm and offensive conduct .
He was ordered by the court to be kept in police custody after the prosecution made that request from the court.
According to the prosecution Jihad has been interfering with their investigations since he was granted self recognizance bail by the police.

They claim he alongside management of Marwako have threatened their workers with dismissal should they make themselves available to help the police with investigations.
The prosecutor also prayed the court to heed to their plea because they could guarantee the security of the accused.

Jihad Chaaban allegedly dipped the face of a kitchen staffer Evelyn Boakye at the Abelemkpe branch of the eatery into pepper paste.

This has led to the creation of a hashtag #boycottMarwako. Meanwhile, management of the restaurant has suspended the supervisor until police conclude investigations into the matter.
