President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his condolence to the families of the victims of the Takoradi gas explosion.
A gas explosion which occurred at Takoradi in the Western Region on Tuesday,May 9, 2017 morning has reportedly left over 100 people injured.

According to reports, the victims have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
It is unclear what caused the explosion at the Ghonco Chinese company located on the Sekondi road.
The reports suggest that personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were working on solving a fault on a tanker which was discharging gas close to the Total filling station on the main Takoradi Highway.
Nana Addo in a tweet to console the victims said he was "very sad and sorry to hear about the gas explosion in Takoradi" yesterday.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the injured and families affected," he added.
