"We didn’t help him... we made ample mistakes"
The management of Pastor Ofori Amponsah has conceded that it did not help the artiste in some aspects of his comeback.
According to Nana Opoku Ashes, a member of the management team, the outfit made “ample mistakes with communication”.
He was responding to comments by veteran highlife artiste, Rex Omar which suggested that Ofori Amponsah should consider changing his management.
Rex Omar observed that Ofori Amponsah who is now back to highlife years after turning a pastor is not being handled well by his management team. He remarked that the artiste’s failure to quote a verse from the Bible on Starr FM and his decision to perform at night clubs even as a pastor shows that he is poorly being managed.
“Ofori is talking too much and I think his management is not helping him at all, he has bad management," Rex Omar said on Adom FM's Entertainment Hall.

Ashes reacting to the issue on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on Thursday stated that whatever has happened as a result of Ofori Amponsah’s comeback was a default on management’s part.
“We will take it [criticisms] in good fate. We accept responsibility that we didn’t do well at certain places… we agree that we let Ofori Amponsah down. We didn’t help him. He made a stance [to come back to highlife], we tried to prepare our artiste for all interviews. If you bash management for not handling it well, we accept,” he said.
The management member refuted claims that the team did not prepare adequately for the comeback and scheduled interviews.
“We prepared but it didn’t really work. It’s a default on our part. We’ve realised and we have strategized. We are restructuring… we made ample mistakes with communication,” he noted.
Ofori Amponsah in July 2012 declared that he had received the calling of God to be a pastor. He quit music to become a full-time Pastor but announced earlier this year his decision to return to secular music. He has insisted that it would not conflict with his work as a Pastor and has subsequently released a love song titled, Alewa which features Sarkodie.
