Starbow has clarified the circumstances that led to one of its flights delaying landing in Accra for over an hour and subsequently returning to Kumasi.

In a statement issued by the company, it attributed the delay in landing to the poor weather condition in Accra when the flight had arrived and needed to land.

“This scheduled flight S9103 airborne from Kumasi to Accra, at 15:35 and on approaching destination Accra, the weather changed resulting in a severe thunderstorm. Suffice to add that, moderate turbulence which is consistent with the unstable weather condition was experienced during the flight.”

“Due to the change in the weather at the destination, the captain entered a holding pattern together with other aircrafts that were also due to land in Accra, hoping for conditions to subside.”

The statement added that the captain decided to fly back to Kumasi when the weather condition did not improve.

“When condition did not improve, the captain opted to fly back to Kumasi so they could return to Accra when conditions were better. Due to this, the captain decided to return to Kumasi as a safety precautionary measure and all the passengers were disembarked safely without any incident and the flight was not 1in any danger at all.”

Passengers on a Starbow flight were captured on video praying fervently because their plane reportedly delayed landing for an hour.

In the video which has since gone viral, the passengers could be heard praying and calling on the name of Jesus to intervene at that point in time.

Others were also speaking in tongues believing that their God will help them.
