Asante Kotoko were the better side in the last 45 minutes and they created some decent chances- Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and Saddick Adams were all victims of missing from close range.

The Kumasi giants continued to misfire and threw the game into extra time.

Saddick Adams emerged as the savior of Asante Kotoko when he fought strongly for a ball sent across the goal area of Medeama and he managed to beat a defender to the ball and slotted it home for the only goal of the evening.

Latif Salifu should have snatched the equaliser for Medeama SC after a ball was floated into the Kotoko goal area, but his header missed the post.

Medeama were close to getting the equaliser again when Kwesi Donsu’s long range pass found Rashid Nortey and the number two shirted had his ball hit the woodwork to give Asante Kotoko a big relief.

This is going to be the first time in 27 years that Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, who defeated Wa All in the first semi-finals clash on Sunday will face off in the final of the most prestigious cup competition in the Ghanaian club history- They last met in 1990.
