According to him, the national team has been very rewarding and has opened many doors, on and off the pitch, for Ghanaian players.
Using himself as an example, Dauda said he bought his first car and house from his earnings with the Black Stars.

“Being in the national team is a very great achievement and we don’t feel as if we are professionals earning big money in Europe,” Dauda told Ghanaweb.
“To be frank the national team is doing the players a favour. It has done a lot for me in my life as I sit here.
“Even the car I drove here was given to me by the national team. The house that I am living in now I obtained from playing in the national team and same with the one I had before moving to this one.”
The 34-year-old made his Black Stars debut in 2008 and went on to play for Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup.
He progressed to play for the likes of Orlando Pirates, Chippa United and Enyimba, but is currently on the books of Ghanaian side Wa All Stars.
Dauda insists he owes his career success to the Black Stars, adding that the national team was the reason why he earned a move outside the country.
“Through the national team I got that offer from Orlando Pirates, they didn’t come for me when I was playing with Ashanti Gold.
“Players can come to the national team and not get playing time but still end up with big contracts, so the team is doing us a favour,” Dauda observed.
