The Spaniard’s side has now come up against Kudus twice this season, with the latest being Sunday’s clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City needed to beat West Ham United to be crowned champions, with Arsenal just two points behind them going into the final day of the season.

The Cityzens ultimately got the job done, as a double from Phil Foden and another from Rodri powered them a 3-1 victory over the Hammers.

Kudus, however, got West Ham’s consolation goal and was a lively presence throughout the game with his pace and trickery.

The Ghana international scored a goal-of-the-season contender when he flicked the ball over his marker before hitting an overhead kick that landed at the back of the net.

While Kudus’ goal didn’t affect the game much, Guardiola was in awe of the 23-year-old’s talent even before Sunday’s game.

The Manchester City boss was full of praise for Kudus during his pre-match press conference, describing him as an exceptional player.

“Now I’m not thinking one second about next season… because it’s West Ham. Four players up front who can create something,” Guardiola said.

“Kudus is an exceptional player. Bowen for many years and Antonio, when he’s fit, is unbelievable. Paqueta is a top-class player in that he can do many things. That’s why. All four from nothing they can do something unique and special. That is my only concern right now.”

Kudus has had an impressive campaign in his debut season in the Premier League, having scored eight goals and provided six assists in 33 matches.
