The Ghana international once again put up an impressive solo performance despite the Hammers suffering a 3-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side on the final day of the Premier League season.
With Manchester City needing to win to be crowned champions, the Cityzens made a great start to the game and opened the scoring after just two minutes via Phil Foden.
Foden doubled their lead in the 18th minute but Kudus would halve the deficit late in the first half when he scored from a spectacular overhead kick.
The hosts failed to properly clear a corner-kick from James Ward-Prowse, which Kudus took full advantage of, first flicking the ball over his marker before hitting an overhead kick that landed at the back of the net.
Kudus’ goal, however, couldn’t spark a resurgence for David Moyes’ side, with Rodri killing off any hopes of a comeback after making it 3-1 after the half-time break.
Despite West Ham’s defeat, many fans on social media were in awe of Kudus’ goal and tipped it to win the Premier League goal of the season.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed an amazing debut season in the English topflight after joining the Hammers from Ajax Amsterdam last year.
The Ghanaian has been involved in eight goals and six assists in the Premier League and ends the season with 25 goal contributions in all competitions.
Kudus’ impressive campaign has already led to rumours of a transfer, with Liverpool reportedly keen on signing him.
