The 49-year-old’s appointment forms part of a shake-up of the club’s technical team, a statement from Hearts said.
Meanwhile, for the men’s team, Dutchman Rene Hiddink has been announced as the Phobians’ Technical Director, while Jerry Adiei Asare takes over as goalkeepers’ trainer.
“These changes are to ensure good technical direction for the club and most importantly, bring coordination to not only the senior team, but Auroras, Royal Oaks and the women's team (Oaks FC),” a statement from Hearts said.
“We are very hopeful that these changes and more to come, will position the club to achieve successes in the 2023/24 campaign and beyond.”
Also, Sebastian Barnes is now Hearts’ new Head of Scouting, with Carlos Klu appointed as Welfare Officer.

The Board of Accra Hearts of Oak has made changes to the club's Technical Team. The reconstituted team will be led by Dutch technical brain, Rene Hiddink.
The first batch of technical appointments are:
Rene Hiddink - Technical Director
Jerry Adiei Asare - Goalkeeper Coach
Sebastian Barnes - Head of Scouting
Carlos Klu - Welfare Officer
Mercy Tagoe - Head Coach, Oaks FC (female team).
