Bancey who re-joined Kotoko in the second window after terminating his contract with Egyptian side Smouha FC is yet to feature for the club.
“The second round of the league just started and there are a lot of matches to be played. In football, it is the coach who does the selection for a game,” Bancey told Hot FM.
“I’m not rusty, like I said the coach is the one who does the selection and I’m trying my possible best at training to get into the coach’s selection in order to help the team to do well in the league,” Bancey continued.
The bulky forward added that it is too early for people to tip Kotoko for the league title despite the club’s second position on the log sheet after 18 Premier League games.
“For now there a lot of matches to be played in the league, so we are taking the games one after the other. Though we are in good position to win the league we are taking one match after the other so that at the end of the season we will be crowned as champions,” he added.
Bancey helped Kotoko to win double two seasons ago and won the Ghana Premier League goal-king with 16 goals before signing for the Egyptian side.
