Atsu has been sent on a series of loan deals since joining Chelsea. The 24-year-old started last season at AFC Bournemouth. After struggling with injuries and not getting enough playing time, Chelsea sent him to Spain for the second half of the season.
The Ghanaian player’s time with Malaga was slightly encouraging with 11 appearances and two goals for the Spanish La Liga club.
Atsu and international teammate Abdul Baba Rahman joined Antonio Conte’s team for their pre-season tour of Austria. The former FC Porto player was however left out of the squad who travelled to the United States of America for games against Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Turkish rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are battling for the loan transfer signing of Christian Atsu according Fotospor. The Istanbul rivals will compete with Spanish La Liga club Malaga for the loan deal as the Atsu’s former club in Spain want him for another season.
