2019 CAF U-23 Cup of Nations: Ghana & seven countries who have qualified

The Black Meteors on Tuesday became the eighth team to book their ticket to the 2019 CAF U-23 Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt in 2019.

This is the first time that Ghana have qualified for the competition which was first staged in 2011.

Ghana made this history by putting up a fight against Algeria, beating them 1-0 in Setif after the North Africans had secured a 1-1 draw in Accra- Skipper of the side Yaw Yeboah scored the only goal.

The CAF U-23 Cup of Nations was held every four years with the top three teams qualifying automatically to the Olympic Games and the fourth-placed finisher playing in a play-off against a team from the Asian Football Confederation.

The following eight teams have qualified for the final tournament.

 Mali
