Under the leadership of Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Asiamah noted that Ghana has witnessed significant improvements in security.

During a ceremony held at the police headquarters in Accra, Asiamah conveyed the union's support for the police's work, emphasizing their commitment to assist in any way possible.

The GPRTU Chairman lauded the IGP for the remarkable transformation of the police service, which has made it more attractive to the public. He urged the IGP not to waver in his dedication to the nation, emphasizing the trust and appreciation that Ghanaians have for him.

Addressing the GPRTU members, IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare refuted claims that the police are opposed to demonstrations. He stressed that Ghana's history is rich with examples of the police providing protection for demonstrators, and this commitment to safeguarding the right to peaceful assembly remains unchanged.
