The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency and branch executives in the Volta Region have called for the reinstatement of former Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani.
The executives have given President John Mahama a two-week ultimatum to reinstate Prosper Bani.
Emmanuel Tokuame, spokesperson for the group in an interview with Starr FM said the President must reverse the changes or face their wrath.
“We give the President two weeks ultimatum to reinstate Prosper Bani else we will not take part in any party activities,” he stated.
The aggrieved executives also vowed not to campaign and vote for the NDC if Bani is not reinstated.
Prosper was replaced by Local Government Minister, Julius Debrah.
Meanwhile, the NDC constituency and branch executives in the Gambaga/Nalerigu constituency of the Northern Region have also threatened to go on a demonstration on February 28, 2015 over the dismissal of its District Chief Executive for East Mamprusi District, Adam Imoro.
Adam Imoro was fired by President Mahama as the DCE for East Mamprusi district with no reason given for his dismissal.
