GIFs come handy when a picture isn't enough and a video is too much. When Twitter announced the "Search GIF" feature recently, the platform saw a slight spike in user base.
Twitter has been struggling with growth for the longest time and over the past year, it has introduced a lot of new features in a bid to push its growth and gain new users.
In the latest feature addition to the social network, users will now be able to post GIFs that are as large as 15MB. Previously, GIFs that are larger than 5MB could not be uploaded on the platform.

"Photos can be up to 5 MB, animated GIFs can be 5 MB on mobile and up to 15 MB on the web," Twitter said in a statement, via its help center.
Twitter has also relaxed some of the restriction son some of its features in the past few months. Foremost amongst those relaxed features is that images, polls, and usernames are no longer counted as part of its 140-character limit.
