The head of the African Union (AU) commission, Dr. Dlamini Zuma has conveyed the sympathies of the commission to the government and people of Ghana in the wake of the Accra disaster which killed estimated hundred and fifty persons.
Dr. Zuma in a twitter post said that the commission was standing with Ghana which is a pioneer of African unity.

Meanwhile, the President of Togo Faure Gnassingbe has arrived in Accra Friday morning to sympathize with Ghanaians on the fire and flood disasters that brought the capital city to its knees Wednesday night. Read more
Gnassingbe and President John Mahama have toured the hardest hit areas including, the GOIL filing station at the KwameNkrumah circle in Accra.
