Bachelor in Paradise alums Carly Waddell and Evan Bass (one of the few success stories from the franchise ) welcomed their second child, Charles Wolfe Bass, this week.

The newly-minted mom of two shared the big news on Instagram , with a surprising detail. She helped deliver the baby herself. In the delivery room, Carly took matters into her own handsliterally. After about 15 minutes of pushing, she said, Charles' head emerged "with one eye open and one eye closed like a pirate looking directly at me!"

After the crowning, Carly decided to pull Charles out herself. "He literally jumped straight into my arms, because the doctor let me pull him out the rest of the way! A beautiful and unique delivery," she wrote. Usually, the doctor or midwife will help ease the baby out, and then place them in their mother's arms.

Pulling out your own baby may be unique, but it's not totally unheard of. For example, Kourtney Kardashian pulled out two of her babies, Mason and Penelope, on national television, per People .

Carly revealed that Charles is a family name, and his middle name came at the last second. "We wanted to incorporate the name wolf because he was born on a full moon and started howling the second he was born," she wrote.

Her husband Evan shared a sweet video of Charles meeting his big sister, Bella, on Instagram. He added a bit more to what inspired his name in the caption: "When Chuck met Bella. You better believe i had to name a kid Chuck Bass!! His first word shall be 'Im Chuck Bass.'"
