The grandson of one of America's biggest mobster in history, John Gotti, recently got married in a star-studded ceremony last Saturday, September 26.

John Agnello and his fiancée Alina Sanchez were reported to have gotten married at Oheka Castle in Long Island last weekend.

The Oheka castle on the Gold Coast supposedly inspired Gatsby's mansion in The Great Gatsby.

Agnello and Sanchez have been together for ten years, before announcing their engagement last year.

Invited guests were made to place envelopes in a bird cage on arrival - the dropped cash had reportedly amounted to a total of $2.5 million in gifted cash, news site Page six reports.

The wedding lasted through the night, and guests partied till 7am the next day.

Reportedly present at the event was Hollywood actor, John Travolta who is set to play the late mob boss in an upcoming biopic on the mob family, and his wife Kelly Preston.

Photos of the lavish wedding were tweeted by the groom's mother, mafia princess Victoria Gotti, daughter of John Gotti.
