A 1996 controversial painting by British artist undefined, which features undefined, has sold for $150.3M at Christie’s.
The sale is an auction record for the British artist, whose previous auction record of 1.9 million pounds was set at Christie’s in 2010 for a painting 'Orgena.'
The painting which portrays a black Madonna figure exposing one breast, made from elephant dung, was previously estimated to sell for $2.3 million at the June 30 auction which held at Christie's in London.
The painting was previously owned by David Walsh, an Australian collector and professional gambler.
