Game of Thrones' latest episode was a doozy, y'all. The Night King and his army of White Walkers did a real number on Winterfell, killing some of fans' most beloved characters (RIP Jorah). Besides his endlessly-multiplying bloodthirsty wights, one of the Night King's most powerful weapons was Daenerys' old dragon Viserion, who was turned into an ice zombie at the end of season 7.
During the battle, Viserion flew over Winterfell breathing blue fire that destroyed large swaths of the castle. There was also a tense moment in the air, when Viserion shot fire at his non-zombie dragon siblings, Drogon and Rhaegal.
By the end of episode 3, you might have been wondering: Is Viserion actually dead? When Arya jumped outta nowhere and killed the Night King, he shattered into a bajillion tiny ice particles-and so did his entire army of White Walkers, former-humans and former-dragons alike. Even the giant slain by tiny Lyanna Mormont crumbled into oblivion.
So the truth about Viserion is...yes, my friends. Viserion is dead. Game of Thrones' ice zombie is no more.
The good news is, both Drogon and Rhaegal survived the Battle of Winterfell, despite getting a little scraped up. Here's hoping Jon and Dany climb aboard, ride them down to King's Landing, and kick Cersei and Eurons' butts before the series is over.
