Two Kenyan lovers who have been in a romantic relationship for a long time and were about to get married had to cancel their union just days to their marriage because they are siblings.
According to reports, after introducing his fiancé to his family, John Njoroge (not his real names) was told to call off his marriage plans to Rose Wanjiku (not her real names).
The explanation given him was that Wanjiku was his half-sister and daughter of his father’s second wife.
Narrating his ordeal in an interview with Kameme TV, John Njoroge described the situation was traumatic, lamenting he had come a long way with the lady he started dating after she ordered a shoe from him.
“After I took her for introduction to my parents, I was told my father had another wife and we were thus brother and sister,” he narrated.

For Rose Wanjiku who had been upbeat about tying the knot with the love of her love soon to become a wife, she has given up on loving again.
She said: “I cannot even fall in love with another person because I am scared he will also turn out to be my relative.”
