It is interesting how a dispatch rider with Jumia thought beating up a customer who rejected an item he had delivered to him was the best of options.

A viral video shows the dispatch rider running after the said customer as he walks away.

The rider eventually catches up with the customer, grabs his dress and gives him a heavy slap.

The video also show angry bystanders mobbing the rider and assaulting him in return.

A twitter user, Quadri Olalekan who posted the video online captioned it:

“@JumiaNigeria Dispatch rider punched a customer who rejected a product on delivery cos it was diff from his request, @JumiaNigeria claiming it's a 3rd party company, on an order made on their website, below is the video of the rider and the customer.”

Meanwhile, gistreel.com reported that Jumia Nigeria has responded to the incident, saying the customer was being attended to for an amicable resolution of the matter.

An official of the company identified as Seyi responded to Quadri’s post saying:

“Hi Quadri.

“Thanks for the concern. The customer is currently being attended to in order to resolve the issue.

Thanks. Seyi.”
