It was gathered that Ssemakula had gathered over 144,000 people to witness the second coming of Christ, claiming to be the Son of God but the police quickly stormed the venue where he had allegedly hypnotised his followers with charms and other antics.

Ssemakula was arrested by the police alongside nine of his inner caucus and has been accused of sabotaging government programmes as he instructs his followers to avoid medications and cooked food when they are ill.

He allegedly instructed them to pray to him to be healed.

A senior police officer who was part of the team that arrested Ssemakula, Lamech Kigozi, told NTV that the self-proclaimed Jesus would be charged to court for leading a cult.

“We are currently looking at a charge of convening an unlawful society. When they fall sick, they only kneel and pray and ask for blessing from this earthly Jesus (Solomon Ssemakula).”

But despite the charges levelled against him, Ssemakula still maintains that he is Jesus and he is not afraid to say it out publicly.
