A Nigerian lady has narrated how she lost a job opportunity because the female Managing Director of the company seeking to employ her later discovered that she was not a male jobseeker.
According to the unhappy lady identified as Stephanie Tagbo, the MD’s reason for not being interested in a female employee for the position she was seeking to occupy was that she might get pregnant on the job.
Tagbo who holds a Second Class Upper in bachelor of science, chemical engineering took to Twitter to recount her ordeal at the hands of a fellow woman, just because she is a female.
“So, I am supposed to go for an interview today for a project management role. Buh they cancelled cos the MD (woman) found out I’m a lady, Reasons: she wants a male, doesn’t want a woman getting pregnant amidst job It must be really hard being a woman,” she lamented on the social media platform.

Some feminists on social media have expressed their disgust at the incident, reechoing the assertion that women are their enemies.
But come to think of it; was the female MD not justified if she assessed the job and came to the conclusion that a male employee would be more suitable for it? Should she have hired Tagbo just for the mere fact that she is a fellow woman but is unfit for the job? Share your thoughts.
