An 18-year-old Junior High pupil has hanged himself at Asuakwa, near Sunyani, in the Brong Ahafo Region.

According to the Brong Ahafo regional police spokesperson ASP Christopher Tawiah attention was drawn to the situation when the assemblyman for the area, Richard Damale reported of the incidence to them.
“The assemblyman informed the police that the body of that young man had been found hanging in an area and that he is a JHS pupil. We went to the place and found the information very tangible,” he said
“Beside him lay a handwritten note, which read: ‘God forgive me my sins. Goodbye Juliet. We shall meet again,” he added

Despite speculation that Richard may have committed suicide after being jilted by his girlfriend, the police officer said his outfit had only begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and would not be drawn into making any conjectures regarding the cause of the death.
“The police would first have to determine if this was a genuine case of suicide, why it happened, and also track down the lady mentioned in relation to the suicide,” he said
The body has since been deposited at the Sunyani regional hospital awaiting autopsy.
