I respect people; Meek Mill speaks on deleting music video shot at Jubilee House

Meek Mill has announced that he is returning to Ghana for the holidays and speaks up on controversial music video shot at the presidency.

The American rapper who speaks highly of Ghana visited the West African country in December 2022 for holidays. During his stay in Ghana, Meek encountered a few challenges but he was shown utmost love by the government and citizens.

The rapper's phone went missing at a show in December 2022, however, with the assistance of Ghana Police and other concerned citizens, the phone was found and returned to the rapper.

Finding Ghana as his place, Meek has taken to social media to say that he will be returning to Ghana. During a question and answers interaction on X, he shared a post that says "I’m coming back to Ghana too #askmeek".

The news has since sparked excitement among Ghanaian fans of the musician. Replying the post that has gone past 305K views, 600 plus comments and more than 1700 retweets after 8 hours, a tweep said "This time please do well to bring @lildurk & @LilBibby4PF so that we can vibe with them also #askmeek".

Another said "Can't wait to finally meet you my idol ... You're an amazing person.. i would love to shaje your hand. Pls sir". Some other fans have been using the means to alert Meek Mill to work with some Ghanaian artists.

Whilst in Ghana, Meek Mill shot a video at the Presidency which he used for a music video. However, it was met with backlash as some Ghanaians found the act to be disrespectful to Ghana's Presidency.

Meek Mill later deleted the music video and apologized. Asked about during his #AskMeek interaction, he said "They ain’t like it I respect people".
