Children need good role models while they're growing up - and it turns out that British parents are somewhat fussy about which celebrities their kids look up to.
While mums and dads are happy for their little ones to be looking up to the likes of demure Kate Middleton, a staggering 78 per cent don't want them to be influenced by 'off-the-rails' Miley Cyrus, according to a survey.
The study, which was conducted by vouchercloud.com, asked 2,287 British parents all of whom have at least one child under the age of 10 which celebrity role models concerned them.
All participants were asked: ''Are there any celebrities you would hate for your children to idolise?''
Provided with a list of celebrities, the concerned parents then ticked off any stars that they perceived as troublesome or a negative influence.
More than three quarters (78 per cent) of the 2,287 Britons revealed that under no circumstances would they want their children to see skin-baring, Miley Cyrus as a role model.
And more than half saw similarly scantily-clad rapper, Nicki Minaj as a potentially negative influence on their kids.
Also on the list was selfie-taking, Kim Kardashian (43 per cent), surly actress, Kristen Stewart (36 per cent), and controversial, Rihanna (34 per cent).
