Actress to replace Giuliana Rancic as E! News co-host

E! Television officially announced that American actress, journalist and TV host,  Maria Menounos, 37, would be replacing Giuliana Rancic on E! News.

This replacement is taking place shortly after Alicia Quarles left E! Television.

'As an established entertainment and news journalist with strong Hollywood connections, has proven herself to be a great fit with the E! News team,' E! said in a statement unveiling the new appointment.

Giuliana revealed earlier in July that she would be stepping down from her post on August 10 to focus on her blossoming side ventures.
