A man shot his estranged wife and then himself Saturday at Manso Dawusaso in the Ashanti Region, it has been reported.

The husband and wife had quarrelled at their residence Saturday noon and in the process, the man identified as Kwadwo Gordon, shot the wife before turning the gun on himself.

The woman's body has been deposited at the morgue while the man is said to be in critical condition after shooting himself in the ribs.

The couples have five (5) children with which the oldest is 16 years.
