The MP, prior to election 2016 launched a scathing attack on Charlotte Osei saying that: she was appointed in exchange for sex.
His comment follows a question posed to Gender Minister-designate, Otiko Afisa Djaba at Parliament's Appointments Committee in parliament for allegedly endorsing Kennedy Agyapong.

She [Otiko] has denied ever endorsing sex-for-job claim against Charlotte Osei.
The Minority in Parliament has stated in strong words that Otiko Djaba does not have the support of the side.
The maverick politician said a number of women were appointed by the former President John Mahama to head various institutions but former First lady, Lordina Mahama was not happy when Charlotte Osei was appointed.
Speaking on Accra-based Joy FM, Kennedy Agyapong said, "Why are you asking her to retract? They should come and ask me and I will retract. Let them dare me, let them dare me because I don’t lie. Why are they asking Otiko, they shouldn’t annoy me and they will see the evidence that will come out. Go and ask Lordina when they appointed this woman as EC Chairperson whether she was happy about it."

However, the Member of Parliament for Juaboso in the Western Region Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has threatened to challenge the approval.

Her approval was on Friday deferred to Tuesday over the decision by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs to vote against her approval.
