Coach of the Black Starlets Paa Kwesi Fabin has opened up on bribery at the juvenile level of Ghana football, after he indicated that there was an attempt to bribe him with $50,000 to influence player selection.
Ghana were knocked out of the quarter finals of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup by Mali last week Saturday.
Paa Kwesi Fabin came under intense criticisms after his charges failed to make the final four, with some accusing him of taking bribes to influence his player selection.
The former Kotoko and Hearts coach has rubbished such claims and even revealed that he turned down a staggering $50k to influence his seletion in 2015
“I have been constantly approached by player managers, agents and club officials to get their players into the national team. In fact the highest amount I have been tempted with as bribe is $5,000. I always say that I will not take bribes to discharge my duty so despite the several attempts to bribe me, I never fell foul.” Paa Kwesi Fabin told Happy FM.
