Three-time champions Prempeh College has qualified to the quarter finals of the ongoing 2017 National Science & Maths.

They beat Toase SHS and St, Louis SHS, their contenders in the first in series of the one-eighth stage of the competition at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.

In a fairly contested contest, Prempeh College dominated the entire competition to send their competitors packing from this year’s NSMQ.

The Prempeh College contestants said the favour of God on them secured their victory.

They jubilated singing their alma mater songs.

They will meet the winners of the second and third in series of the one-eighth stage of competition in the next round.

27 schools are expected to qualify to the quarter finals of the 2017 NSMQ.

However, Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS, Aburi Girls’ SHS and Ghana National College, Tamale SHS, KNUST SHS, University Practice, Takoradi SHS, New Juaben SHS and Adisadel College will clash in the quarter finals.
