The ongoing NDC primaries in the Nkwanta South constituency in the Volta region have been clouded with confusion.

According to Starr News all three stakeholders are currently locked up in a meeting to resolve the register impasse.
Meanwhile armed security officials have been deployed to the area to maintain calm among delegates.
The election was put on hold during the November 2015 nationwide parliamentary primaries by the party hierarchy for reasons they described as “strategic”.

Five aspirants including the incumbent MP, Gershon Bediame, are contesting in the Saturday July 16,primaries in which over 17,000 card bearing members of the NDC are voting in 90 polling centres across the constituency.
The other aspirants are, a business man, Geoffrey Kini, Dr Felix Anebor, a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Narayana Osei Nyarko Charles, banker and a lawyer and also one Solomon Bagme.
