Afia Schwarzenegger's husband granted bail to the sum of Gh¢20,000 (Photos)

Lawrence Abrokwah is facing five charges including domestic violence with emotional, verbal and psychological abuse, publication of obscene material, assault and threat of harm.

Afia Schwarzeneggers estranged husband, Lawrence Abrokwah, is said to have been granted bail by an Accra Circuit Court to the sum of Gh¢20,000 with three sureties.

According to Starrfmonline, Lawrence Abrokwah is facing five charges including domestic violence with emotional, verbal and psychological abuse, publication of obscene material, assault and threat of harm.

His lawyer Maurice Ampaw prayed the court to grant him bail since he reported himself to the police and will be willing to assist in the trial.

The report said that the presiding judge, Mrs Jane Harriet Akweley Quaye warned the parties involved in the case to cease speaking to the media.

The case has been adjourned to October 11, 2017.

Abrokwah is being tried over a video he purportedly recorded of Afia in a headscarf, trying to cover her nakedness with a white towel.

In the video, the ‘husband’ Abrokwah threatened to pour something in a bottle he claims is acid on her face. Afia is heard crying and begging Abrokwah not to pour the acid on her.
