Memoirs out on 70th birthday, title will be 'shocking'

Rawlings’ memoir is expected to talk about his early life, the motivations for the two military coups he was involved in, alleged murders and forced disappearances during his almost two decade stay in power.

The much anticipated memoir of Ghana’s former president Jerry John Rawlings will be out in June 2017.

According to the former head of state, the book will be released ahead of his 70th birthday which falls on Thursday June 22, 2017.
