Some residents of Tatale in the Northern Region have shot a suspected armed robber.
The suspect was shot during a gunfire exchange with residents of the area on Tuesday (August 15, 2017) night.
The Northern Regional Police Crime Officer DSP John Anane narrated that the deceased together with one other mounted a roadblock at Bilando village.

He told Daily Graphic that they attacked two other men who were returning from Sanguli to Pakpasa on a motorbike. The two men managed to escape and informed members of their community.
The members of the community attacked the robbers. There was gunfire exchange which led to the death of one of the robbers.
DSP Anane said the deceased armed robber who was shot by the residents also had cutlass wounds on his body.
This is the second time residents of the Tatale-Sanguli district have engaged in a gunfire exchange with suspected armed robbers.
The first was in May 2017. This led to the death of two robbers and a resident.
