Organisers of sex party arrested

A hotel in Gbawe, a suburb of Accra, where the sex party was also arranged and advertised was also closed down.

A group of people who were organizing a sex party were arrested over the weekend by the Ghana Tourism Authority, in collaboration with the National Security and the Ghana Police Service.

The Authority in a statement said it “will stop at nothing to sanitise the industry towards promotion and marketing Ghana as a safe and sustainable tourism destination.”

There has recently been a rise in advertisements of sex parties on social media platforms, inviting patrons to orgies at a fee.

The Authority has since condemned the development, saying that it will invoke the relevant sections of its establishment Act on Advertisement and Promotion to deal with such illegal acts and the perpetrators.
