Elmina Sharks managed to hand Asante Kotoko a 1-0 defeat at the Nduom Stadium on match day 26 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The first half ended with both sides failing to put the ball at the back of the net.

But after the first half break Joseph Mensah gave Elmina Sharks the match winner.

Elmina Sharks who lost on match day 25 after several weeks of unbeaten run have returned to winning ways.

For Asante Kotoko it looks like  their title ambition is over after they failed to close in on league leaders Aduana Stars who drew 3-3 against Hearts of Oak
