Kofi Jumah granted GH¢ 10,000 bail

Kofi Jumah has been charged with destroying electoral materials and disturbing public peace.
 
 

Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has been granted a bail of 10,000 Ghana cedis with two sureties by a Kumasi Circuit Court.

He was arrested by the police in the Ashanti Region for vandalizing election materials and disturbing public peace.

Charged along with Jumah was his campaign Manager, Richies Oscar for resisting lawful arrest.

They were both granted bail in the sum of GH¢10,000 each with a surety

Mr. Kofi Jumah was reported to have torn the voter register on suspicion that it has been doctored to favour incumbent, Patricia Appiagyei.

The Buffalo Unit of the police in the region picked him up in a very tensed atmosphere and taken away before he could cause any further damage.

He was charged for violating the breach of peace and causing damage to electoral materials.

The court presided over by Afia Adu Amankwa adjourned the case to June 29, 2015.
