The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has opened nomination for the flagbearer position towards the 2016 Presidential . The Party is inviting members in good standing to pick up nomination forms to contest for the Flagbearer slot of the Party in the upcoming General Election. A statement issued by the PPP says the party has also set January 13, 2016 to begin the vetting process which should end by January 27, 2016. The election of the Party’s Flagbearer will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in all the 275 Constituencies in the country and the Presidential Candidate so elected will be confirmed at the Party’s Fourth Anniversary National Convention to be held in Accra on Saturday, February 27, 2016.The statement says the National Committee has approved GHC10,000 for the Presidential nomination form, while filing of the form will attract a fee of GHC30,000.00 per candidate. Women and physically handicapped prospective candidates will be offered a 50% rebate.
