Nana Addo won't steal SADA money - Bawumia

Speaking at the Wa Zongo Mosque, Dr. Bawumia said he was to seek the prayers of all for Allah to guide and bless Ghana, especially as Ghana goes to the polls.

The vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that an NPP government is committed to transforming Ghana and bridging the gap between the north and south.

He said an NPP government under Nana Akufo-Addo will truly develop the north and not steal monies meant for northern development as has happened in the last few years. Dr. Bawumia made the comments in Wa, on the 5th leg of his ongoing Ramadan/Zongo Tour.

"I know in all this struggle that it is only Allah who can make someone a President or Vice-President or Chief or King and that is why we are trying to pray as much as possible so that Allah would open the door for us, Nana Akufo-Addo and myself and that is why I am here to ask for your prayers," he added.

Dr Bawumia explained: It is necessary to seek and work for change this year to stop and reverse the mismanagement and suffering of the Ghanaian people witnessed in the collapse of various social intervention programmes and the unbearable cost of living and unprecedented unemployment crisis facing the nation today.

He noted that "We are going to build a new economy where everybody is going to benefit. The North will see major development, we are not going to take SADA money and steal it, we will restore the trainee allowances, strengthen the NHIS and create jobs. It is going to be a new economy and I am pleading with you that in 2016 vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and vote for Issahaku Tahiru as MP for Wa Central so we develop this country."
