Former Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare has charged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop the incessant attack on former President John Mahama for the loss of the party in the 2016 general election.
According to him, the recent outbursts by some leading members of the party is not healthy to challenge the NPP in 2020 if it continues.
His comments follow weeks of internal bickering for the soul of the party by leading members and pressure groups who are blaming Mahama for their defeat.

The group said indiscipline and arrogance of power also caused the party's defeat.
Spokesperson for the group Kojo Hamenya Keglo accused party officials of affluence and neglecting the grassroots supporters of the party.
But the former ambassador in a press statement said a committee has been commissioned to establish the cause of NDC's defeat adding that until the Professor Kwesi Botwe Committee finishes its work and submits the report on its findings to the leadership of the party, "no one can factually tell Ghanaians why we lost the election."

He said "The fact that H. E. John Mahama has not spoken publicly on why we lost the election does not mean he has no concerns with regards to same.
"Again, the attacks on Mrs Lordina Mahama are also in bad taste. What wrong did she do by supporting the husband in doing his work?
"We must eschew diabolicalness in the rank and file of the party".

Below is his full statement:
I have learned about the recent outbursts of comrades on the media landscape about a mirage of causes that led to our party's defeat in last year's election. In as much as I understand the pang we are having to endure as comrades in this boat together, I believe that most of us would agree it is never going to do our party any good to the take to the media, our grievances.
The most recent one being a press conference held in Accra yesterday by a group called Action Movement with the sole aim of denigrating our Former President and some members of his family. This acts of vicious attacks are unfair to our former leader.
A committee has in the light of our defeat been commissioned to establish the causes of our poor showing in last year's election. Until the Professor Kwesi Botwe Committee finishes its work and submits the report on its findings to the leadership of our party, no one can factually tell Ghanaians why we lost the election.
The fact that H. E. John Mahama has not spoken publicly on why we lost the election does not mean he has no concerns with regards to same.
Again, the attacks on Mrs Lordina Mahama are also in bad taste. What wrong did she do by supporting the husband in doing his work?
We must eschew diabolicalness in the rank and file of the party. We owe it a duty to this party not to allow a total breakdown of our party structure where one can just stand up and organize a press confab just to bastardize a former leader of this party.
As we continue to work hard at our various branches, wards, constituencies etc to bring this party back to power, we must all realize that we would have to get it done collectively and this is only attainable when we have a harmonious party for all and sundry. We must reenergize our party grassroots by our actions rather than demoralizing them for the grassroots remain the bedrock of this party.
Thank You Eye Zu, Eye Za.
