A 10-year-old girl from Denkyira-Obuasi has been abandoned by her relatives following the confusion and fear that occurred following the death of Captain Maxwell Mahama in the community.

The girl, only identified as Deborah said the incident happened whiles she was away in school.

She added that when she returned, she realised that there were military men all over the town and thus residents were fleeing the scene for fear that they will be picked up over the murder.

According to her, she also run away with a group of people but on her return the following day, she could not find her mother or siblings at home.

“A young man brought me home but I realised that my mother and sisters were not at home. They were nowhere to be found...” she said.
