Ghana are still placed at 50th on the world ranking table for the month of August which was released on Thursday 10 August.
The Black Stars are still the 45th best national football team in the world, but seven places down their position same time last year.

The August ranking see Ghana still occupying the 50th position from August, with no accompanying change in total accumulated points.
On the African continental, the Black Stars still hold the ninth position in Africa behind Egypt (19) still lead the pack on the continent Egypt, Congo DR, Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Algeria in descending order.

Back on the global stage, Brazil have returned to the top after they lost their position to Germany last month. Germany are second, followed by Argentina, Switzerland and Poland in that order.
Ghana’s highest ever performance since the ranking’s introduction in August 1993 remains a 14th place in February 2008, while their worst placement was an 89th position in June 2004.
The Black Stars’ last assignment was the double-header against Mexico and the USA in late June and early July.
