Joseph Attamah Laweh has earned a call-up into the senior national male football team of Ghana ahead of their FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Congo, according to Myjoyonlin.com

The centre back cum defensive midfielder has been in a splendid form for Başakşehir. He contributed effectively when the Turkish outfit faced Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League play-off, but they failed to progress against the Spanish giants.

Joseph Attamah Laweh, former Tema Youth defender was selected by Avram Grant as part of his provisional 26-man squad for  the 2017 Africa Cup pf Nations (AFCON) staged in Gabon, but he failed to make the cut for the finals.

Ghana will take on Congo Brazzaville in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier double header in their quest to fight back and topple Egypt who are sitting on top group E- the first game will happen in Kumasi on 1 September, with the return game coming off in Brazzaville on 5 September.
