Fine lines around my eyes and forehead had become exaggerated, and my undereyes looked hollow and purplish. It wasnt all in my head. A trip to the dermatologist for a Visia scan (a diagnostic tool that shows skin damage) revealed my skins age to be four years older than my true one. Um, what?!

Im definitely not alone in this experience. I see it very frequently, says dermatologist and Womens Health advisory board member Mona Gohara, MD. Sagging, wrinkling, and fine lines are more apparent with even a 10-pound <a href="https://www.womenshealthmag.com/how-to-lose-weight/" id="994d7eaa-6874-341a-a7aa-78d1c4af8c10"> weight loss </a> , she says.

Our face has fat, and that fat actually makes us look more youthful.

The reason? Like all the other parts of the body, our face has fat, and that fat actually makes us look more youthful, explains NYC dermatologist Anne Chapas, MD, of Union Square Laser Dermatology. People who have higher BMIs generally tend to look younger. And since you cant spot-reduce fat (Working Out 101), if you lose weight, youre losing it from your face too.

Those who have lost and gained multiple times in the past, are older, or have sun damage are particularly affected in the face by new weight loss. Thats because sun damages elastic fibers (which also reduce with age), making it harder for skin to really bounce back, says Dr. Chapas.

Thankfully, a few skin-care tweaksand perhaps a trip to the dermatologistgive you ways to address your top complexion concerns so your face can match how absolutely awesome and energized you feel on the inside. Start here

<h1> Your face skin might start sagging. </h1>

Premature drooping of the jawline (a.k.a. jowls) is one of the most common issues. When you drop pounds, youre also shedding the components that make your skin plump, like subcutaneous fat, collagen, and elastin, says Dr. Gohara. And while you cant rebuild fat with skin care, you can spur the growth of new collagen over time with ingredients like retinol (in Origins cream), growth factors (in SkinMedicas serum), and peptides.

For more pronouncedand fasterresults (typically within four to six weeks), Dr. Gohara likes noninvasive Ultherapy, a type of ultrasound technology that uses heat to stimulate collagen. It damages the skin so that its mad, and then the skin reacts by creating collagen, she explains. It sounds scary, but the injuries are microscopic.

<h1> Fine lines are more likely to be an issue. </h1>

Suddenly noticing crows-feet where there werent any before? Fine lines can definitely become exaggerated with weight loss, says Dr. Gohara. Her fix: a product with hyaluronic acid (try StriVectins moisturizer). It sends hydration into the skin and plumps it up to give you both immediate results and long-term benefits, because it can actually drive your body to create its own hyaluronic acid.

<h1> ...And so are undereye circles. </h1>

Fat under the eyes helps mask the dark blood vessels below. So less fat equals dark circles. A collagen-stimulating cream with retinol can help, as can a light-reflective eye cream, like LOral Pariss, which makes circles appear less hollow. But a trip to the derms office is the best bet. For a quick fix, the number one thing we do is filler. Its injected into that area, and it can immediately correct that sunken lookpatients walk out almost fully corrected and they dont need to put concealer there anymore, says Dr. Chapas. She prefers hyaluronic acidbased Restylane for this area because it comes off as natural and lasts anywhere from one to three years.

<h1> As if that weren't bad enough, you're more acne-prone. </h1>

An unexpected but extremely frequent side effect is surprise breakouts. Switching your diet often has implications in terms of your skin, says Dr. Gohara. A possible trigger: protein shakes. Whey proteins are especially notorious for creating acne, she says.

Treat your newfound spots by washing with a salicylic acid (a gold-standard anti-acne ingredient) face wash and using a glycolic acidinfused face pad. And always use a nonpore clogging moisturizer (look for noncomedogenic on the label).

So when I heard they were coming out with a selfcare beauty line, naturally I begged for a sneak peek and test run of the new line. Even though Im a champion of the brand, Im not going to lie-as a beauty editor, I was a little skeptical about an apparel brand coming out with beauty products. What could they offer that other dedicated beauty brands hadnt already done?

We recognized a gap in the transition point from sweat to life where sweat-related skin and hair problems exist, Sun Choe, Chief Product Officer at Lululemon told me. That leads us to the Selfcare lineup dedicated to those moments right after a workout. To start, theyre launching four products: a moisturizer, lip balm, dry shampoo, and deodorant.

Lululemon Selfcare Beauty Line- An Honest Review

Lululemon Selfcare Sweat Reset Face Moisturizer, $48

This may be a little TMI, but Im one of those people who keeps sweating long after a workout class-like even after I shower. This means that I need something lightweight that nixes my shine.

I feel very seen by this lotion as it appears to have been made exactly for people like me: Its a gel formula with calming ingredients (like menthyl to cool the skin) and it dries down to a matte finish. I noticed an immediate improvement in how my post-workout skin looked-it was no longer shiny and sweaty. And for people who tend to breakout when they work out too, this has pomegranate enzyme to help with exfoliation-key to preventing zits.

This is definitely something I will be keeping in my gym bag and using exclusively after sweating (its not hydrating enough IMO to use, say, as a nighttime moisturizer, but thats not what its intended for-its really meant for after the gym).

Lululemon Selfcare Basic Balm Lip Balm, $14

Ive spoken with many dermatologists about the effects of working out on your skin, and one of the most common issues they talk about is how drying it can be on your lips. Not only do your lips lack oil glands but exercising means a lot of heavy (and drying) breathing-plus a lot of lip licking, all of which sucks moisture from your lips.

This formula feels unlike any balm Ive tried before in a really good way. Its loaded with hydrators like shea butter, jojoba seed oil, coconut oil, and beeswax, yet does not feel sticky at all. In fact, it leaves this addictive, velvety feel on lips. I recommend applying it liberally pre and post workout. Id also recommend hiding it from your significant other because this is definitely something they will try to steal.

Currently wearing: Lululemon Selfcare moisturizer, dry shampoo, and lip balm. Crushed my workout and now ready for work!

Lululemon Selfcare No-Show Dry Shampoo, $34

I am the Goldilocks of dry shampoo-Im very hard to please. So this was the product I was most ready to dismiss. Usually, I reach for a formula that is a bit powdery-I need it to absorb my oil and sweat (especially after an intense workout)-so I was convinced this invisible formula would just not cut it.

For its inaugural run, I used the No-Show Dry Shampoo after a sweaty morning elliptical session since I was running late for work after the gym (story of life) and couldnt shampoo. I was legit shocked that after spraying it in (concentrate it at the roots working in sections), my hair looked really fresh-like I had just gotten a blowout. It created a softness in my hair that my go-to dry shampoo doesnt. The best way I can describe it is that it felt clean-not like it was covered in product.

So whats in it? Tapioca to absorb oil, as well as green and brown algae to help control oil production.

No one is more surprised than me to find that Im favoring it over my old standby.

Lululemon Selfcare Anti-Stink Deodorant, $18

No matter how many times Ive tried, I just havent been able to make <a href="https://www.womenshealthmag.com/beauty/g19377631/best-deodorant-for-women/" id="82e6c421-84e6-3e16-a4b1-bd1627c0e822"> the switch from antiperspirant to deodorant </a> . The difference between the two: antiperspirants contain aluminum salts which actually stop you from sweating, whereas deodorants only combat odor, not moisture. However, I have tested my fair share of deodorants so I can be objective there.

Compared to other aluminum-free deodorants, I like that this is a spray formula that feels dry on the skin-many natural deodorants can feel a little sticky-yet is slightly moisturizing thanks to coconut oil. It uses zinc to help combat stink, as well as prebiotics to help reduce the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

I tried the Black Pepper Sandalwood scent and really liked it-its definitely gender neutral.

While this deodorant just isnt for me, if you are avoiding aluminum, I definitely think youll be a fan of this product.

I am honestly impressed with how Lululemon was able to pinpoint the very specific and unique needs women (and men!) have after working out. As someone who struggles with their post-gym beauty routine, I genuinely feel like keeping most of these products in my gym bag will alleviate many of my gym-to-job anxieties.

As an editor at Womens Health, friends are naturally always asking me for my thoughts on different workout gear lines or which leggings I love. And while I am all for trying out the latest trendy activewear brand, inevitably, I always find myself recommending, and slipping into, my Lululemons.

Before heading off to film her new TV show, Bring the Funny, a comedy competition series coming to NBC this summer for which Chrissy is a judge, she decided to celebrate "having a good skin day" with her 23 million followers. In the selfie vid, Chrissy is topless (natch), and nodding her head in approval of her clear skin, even writing "thank you skin."

You've probably been hearing a lot of buzz about eyebrow microblading recently. And while the service can go terribly wrong in the hands of an unskilled technician ( <a href="https://www.womenshealthmag.com/beauty/a27153810/botched-microblading-four-eyebrows-jamie-ledbetter/" id="58660489-56a8-3d8d-adb6-a94e2a96e529"> like this disaster-eek! </a> ), when it's done properly, it can be a serious game-changer.

Someone who just outed themselves as a fan of the eyebrow microblading trend? Mandy Moore. She posted an Instagram Stories selfie saying "New brows, new lease on life." (Seriously though, what is it about a good brow day that just magically makes you feel like a boss?)

Finding it hard to see where Mandy got her eyebrow microblading? That's the point! Thankfully, Mandy's brow guru, Kristie Streicher ( <a href="https://www.instagram.com/kristiestreicher/?hl=en" id="dcc9dc14-3aa5-30ea-add5-986e8e7645bf"> check out her Instagram </a> for major browspo-yes, that's a thing), gave us a little BTS of the microblading process. In the pic below, you can see that when she brushes Mandy's hairs down, there are a few microblading strokes there.

As for what microblading entails, think of it as a semi-permanent tattoo-hence why you really need to make sure you're seeing a trained professional (ask to see many before/afters they've done and read through reviews on Yelp before committing to a service). Here's how Kristie describes the process for her signature service, Microfeathering, <a href="https://featheredbrow.com/Microfeathering/Microfeathering_KristieStreicher.pdf" id="a625fa92-4862-3ea7-ae04-67f8f77b8922"> on her website </a> :

"After numbing the area with a topical cream, small incisions are created using a fine and very precise blade. Pigment is then deposited into the incisions, resulting in an incredibly natural appearing 'eyebrow hair.'"

She goes on to explain that this is a two-visit process (spread 6 to 8 weeks apart) to ensure the most natural-looking result (each visit lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours). Mircroblading isn't cheap, with a treatment course with Kristie running $1,200 (this is pretty much industry standard), but the results can last anywhere from 8 to 12 months depending on the person.

It's important to note that there is a bit of aftercare required (Kristie suggests keeping a thin layer of Neosporin and SPF 30+ on the brows while they heal and avoiding excessive sweating for a week), and that you may experience some redness, bruising, or swelling immediately after the service.

But honestly, after seeing Mandy's brows, all of that seems totally worth it, right?

Lili Reinhart, a.k.a. Riverdale's Betty Cooper, just wrapped shooting the latest season of the popular show. So what's one of the first things she did? Lili was clearly super pleased with the results as she shared a post-facial no-makeup selfie with her fans on Instagram stories saying, "Got my glow back." And she totally did--her skin looks incredible.

It's great to see Lili rocking her no-makeup selfie with such confidence, as the Riverdale actress has been very candid with fans in the past about how her skin, when it's breaking out, can make her super self-conscious.

In a previous Instagram story, she wrote: "I've had cystic acne since I was 12. And it has caused major self-esteem issues ever since. I'm not sure if or when I'll ever be able to accept my skin as it is," she wrote, "But I'm hoping that someday I can feel beautiful even if I'm having a breakout. And that I won't feel obsessive or paranoid." Props to Lili for being so raw and honest and expressing the inner thoughts that many women who struggle with acne feel.
