Over the weekend, <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/celebrities/details-of-exclusive-pulse-talent-show-going-down-in-nairobi-this-saturday/s3j74ef">Pulse Live Kenya, a reputable digital media house</a> in Kenya held its inaugural Pulse Talent Show and it was a huge success!

A first of its kind, the Talent Show brought together artistes from different parts of Nairobi, who sang their lungs out with the aim of impressing a Bench of Judges&nbsp;tasked to spot the star of the day.

The much anticipated Talent Show attracted 16 participants, who turned up at the Pulse Live Kenya offices, ready to rock the day.&nbsp;The day officially kicked off at 12:00pm.

Gates opened at around 10:00am, allowing participants to secure their preferred spots that could enable them enjoy the performances without any struggles and also take part when called upon.

The Pulse Talent Show saw Kinoti, a fast-rising singer emerge the winner, after being voted overwhelmingly by the four Judges who were out to pick the best out of the Best.

Kinoti went against all odds to prove to the Judges that he was the one they were looking for, despite his guitar string snapping mid-performance. He borrowed another from his fellow participants and went on to completely ‘kill’ the show.

By being crowned the star of the day, Kinoti was handed a number of goodies from Pulse partners; KenAfric, Big Square, Dominos Pizza and Hustle Yako.

On top of that he also secured a recording deal with Krucial Sounds under producer Johnttez, for his upcoming single.

Dancer and Singer Muthoni Irungu, wowed the Judges with her 1001% confidence and ability to own the stage to scoop the second spot. Upcoming singer Roy Troy emerged third during the talent show.

Apart from the top three, RMG, a Hip Hop group from Majengo also stood out with their lyrical delivery and ability to own the stage. The three gentlemen are a full package, as one can play the guitar, the other can sing and the third group member is a very talented rapper and vocalist.

Other contestants who brought fire and energy to the Pulse Talent show Include; Jamsta, Bonysun, Cizy, Waringa Wa Jomo, Rhemy Muvai, Ram Kenya, Mellbaron, Lah Moh, Maggie B, Nivarna Bundi, Sandy Boy, Yvie (Wanjiru Irungu) and Gifted Angel.

The Bench of Judges was made up of; Award-winning entertainer and Founder of Hustle Yako Initiative -&nbsp;DNG;&nbsp;David Jerome&nbsp;who is the Director of Content at Pulse Kenya; Marion Kerubo who is a Social Media Manager at Kenyan Originals and&nbsp;Linda Okero, who is the Coordinator of the UNCTAD Youth Action Hub-Kenya, a Yali Alumni and Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society.

The show was hosted by Dennis Milimo aka Mjukuu Wa Mfalme, who is the Entertainment Editor at Pulse Kenya and event MC.

The Pulse Talent Show&nbsp;#PulseTalentShow&nbsp;was a ‘closed show’, meaning only selected participants who expressed interest in being part of the inaugural show were allowed into the Pulse Live premises.

The show was streamed Live on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/">Pulse Live Kenya</a>&nbsp;Facebook and Instagram pages from 12:00pm and in case you missed it, you can always catch the repeat on the same Facebook page.

After the Talent Show was over, DNG took time to explain to each and every participant where he or she needs to improve in order to better their craft.

#PulseTalentShow was a platform for young stars to showcase their talents to our millions of online fans. It was an NOT A COMPETITION, but an opportunity for you to come and show the world what you can do.

Uganda’s presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has rejected the preliminary results being displayed by the Electoral commission.

Speaking to the press, Bobi Wine claimed victory in the presidential election, objecting early results which gave President Yoweri Museveni an early lead.

“I am very confident that we defeated the dictator by far. I call upon all Ugandans to reject the blackmail. We have certainly won the election and we've won it by far. The people of&nbsp;Uganda&nbsp;voted massively for change of leadership from a dictatorship to a democratic government. But Museveni is trying to paint a picture that he is in the lead. What a joke!” said Bobi Wine

Wine went on to allege that media houses have been ordered not report irregularities and that military has been deployed to newsrooms. Adding that the electoral commission has been captured by President Museveni’s regime.

Exiled Lawyer Dr. Mguna Miguna has sent an early congratulatory message to Uganda’s presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine as election results continue to stream in.

Taking to his official Facebook page, Miguna alleged that Bobi Wine is going to win the election by a landslide, but unfortunately President Yoweri Museveni will steal the election in order to remain in power.

On Friday morning, incumbent President Yoweri Museveni had taken a significant early lead in the presidential race, according to preliminary results released by the electoral commission.

Museveni had garnered 1,536,205 votes (65.02%), while his main rival Bobi Wine, had 647,146 votes (27.39%) from 8,310 polling stations. The country has a total of 34,684 polling stations.

<h1>A mother of nine is nursing serious injuries at a hospital in Migori town after her husband allegedly chopped off her hand because she overstayed at a funeral.</h1>

She said the man hacked off her left hand with a machete and left the right one hanging limply, accusing her of delaying to return home after attending a funeral.

She claimed that her husband cut her on the face and threw a spear at her as she tried to run away.

The woman said she went for a funeral at the home of one of her in-laws, thinking that the burial would take place on that day but it delayed.

“When I came back home evening he was not in. I prepared for the evening but when he came, he just attacked me. He beat me and cut me repeatedly with the machete, threatening to kill me,” said the woman from her hospital bed.

She claimed that her husband, his brother, and other family members left her to bleed and that it took the intervention of distant relatives to rush her to Ombo hospital in Migori town.

“They refused to report the matter to the police. I passed out and gained consciousness at the hospital after my nephew brought me here,” she said.

The woman appealed for justice, saying no action had been taken against her husband.

But Migori police commander, Joseph Nthenge, said the matter had not been reported to any police station.

“We cannot investigate a case when there are no complainants. The family has decided to keep it covered but we will ensure justice prevails,” he said.
