EDEN HAZARD is worth more than Cristiano Ronaldo, according to boffins.
The Chelsea flier has risen to third on the CIES Football Observatory’s bi-annual list, which ranks players based on a complex algorithm.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi (£184million) tops the rankings ahead of team-mate Neymar (£112m).
And Belgium forward Hazard (£95.8m) knocked Ronaldo (£83.7) — who is competing against the Barca duo for the Ballon d’Or — down to fourth.
Ronaldo’s fall from the podium places is due to his advancing age, with Santi Cazorla (£31m) the only other player over the age of 30 in the top 100.
Hazard’s rise could be seen as a surprise given his poor form this season — and the fact he cannot seem to complete a game recently.
Harry Kane (67m) is the highest-placed Englishman at fifth, with Raheem Sterling (65.9m) hot on his heels.
Welshman Gareth Bale (57.1m) — who has been linked with a return to Manchester United — ranks a disappointing 16th, one place ahead of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku (56.4m).
