Zone A is an open contest among Asante Kotoko, AshGold and Medeama heading into the final day of the competition.

Asante Kotoko who are leading the pack with 21 points need to avoid a defeat on the final day of the competition against Aduana Stars who are already out of the contest to reach the last four of the campaign.

While AshGold on 20 points would have to beat Eleven Wonders at Nkoranza on the last day of the campaign to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Medeama’s destiny is not in their own hands. They can only qualify if they win against Berekum Chelsea, while they anticipate Asante Kotoko lose against Aduana Stars, while expecting AshGold to draw or suffer defeat against Eleven Wonders.

Hearts of Oak remain the only team that have quailed for the semi-finals of the competition and they are waiting for the three other teams who will join them in the battle for supremacy.

The Phobians qualified with two games to spare. Liberty Professionals will battle it out with Karela FC for the other spot in zone B, after Hearts had secured the first one.

Karela are in pole position to qualify for the semis as they can even reach the last four with a draw against Dwarfs at Anyinase on the final day. Although they are leading Liberty by two points, they have a better head to head against the Dansoman lads.

Liberty can only book their ticket to the semi-finals if Karela lose at home against Dwarfs on the final day, a situation which is seemingly unlikely, looking at the impressive home record of Karela.

The semifinals of the #NCSpecial competition will be a one-off game. The winner of Premier A will play the runner up in Premier B and the B winner plays the runner up in A. Winners of the groups will have the opportunity of playing at home in the one-off game.
