Current FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi has come under intense pressure from a section of the public, with many calling for his resignation following Ghana’s poor run in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Some prominent names have also sung the same tune, with ex-Black Stars players Stephen Appiah and Sammy Kuffour all calling for a total overhaul at the GFA.
Fred Pappoe – who was once a vice-president of the GFA – has had his name being mooted as a possible candidate to replace Nyantakyi , and was openly backed by Dr Nyaho Tamakloe to step up to the role.
However, the Great Olympics director insists his current focus is to help the Accra-based side do well in the league.

In an interview with Atinka FM, Pappoe said: “I am really grateful to Dr. Nyarho Tamakloe for seeing me as a candidate and also having confidence in me that I can take up that position, but it is not something I have thought about.
“I have not thought about the FA Presidency, if it happens then that is fine but for now am just looking forward to how to help Great Olympics in the League.”
Kwesi Nyantakyi has been GFA boss since 2005, and was recently retained as president in the 2015 elections – stretching his term to at least 2019.
